Kathy has worked at Northwestern for more then 28 years. She started her NU career on the Chicago campus teaching classes for NU Information Technology (NUIT) on “How to use a Macintosh” plus other popular Mac and PC applications. Three years later she moved to the Evanston Campus, ultimately overseeing management of 9 computer labs, implementation and support of room based video conferencing, plus the design, implementation, and support operations of more then 120 technology enhanced classrooms.
She left NUIT almost 6 years ago to experience the university from a different perspective; she has thoroughly enjoyed the change and her work in the Department of German.
She lives in Evanston with her husband and 2 recently rescued Chihuahuas. For fun (and hard work), she coaches girls grade school volleyball every fall. Biking, reading, travel, and until recent injuries sidelined her, playing volleyball, are just some of the activities that keep her busy.
