Denis is a second year PhD student in German and Comparative Literature. He graduated magna cum laude in German Language and Literature and English Literature at Arizona State University.

His present research circles around the (non-) entities that would be difficult to fit into neat categories: comparative and interdisciplinary studies, ambiguities of language and identity, epistemology, paradoxes, genealogy of doubt, contaminations of traditionally held ideas and beliefs, exile and immigrant literatures, writers and philosophers challenging the status quo, vanguard movements, and the advancement of new art forms and means of expression, like graphic novels, 3D movies, etc.
