GERMAN WRITING CENTER
The Writing Center in the German Department is a forum for individuals who have specific concerns and questions regarding German writing or grammar in the context of an assignment, paper, or project. It also provides opportunities for those who want to be one, two, or more steps ahead and increase their knowledge of the German language. You can schedule individual sessions at any time, and presentations will given during the year on topics ranging from specific grammar items to the availability of electronic tools and how to write certain types of reports. We also strongly encourage student engagement and will post announcements regarding writing projects, art and photography contests, and a student newspaper.
The Writing Center provides the following:
- tutoring services related to German writing and grammar
- assistance with writing papers, letters, and other texts in German at all stages
- online electronic resources for grammar and writing of texts
- electronic answers to questions if you have a quick question
- presentations on specific aspects related to writing in German
- presentations on technological tools
- a forum for student creativity, expression, and productivity
The writing center is currently located in Kresge Hall 2-530 and is open on
Tuesday 12 pm - 5 pm
Thursday 11 am - 4 pm; 5 pm - 8 pm
